LEE KEAT CHEE

Mr. Lee pursued a degree in law at The University of Liverpool and read for the Bar Finals at Lincolns’ Inn, England in 1996. He chambered under the guidance of Mr. Chin Yew Meng at Messr. Allen & Gledhill in 1997 and moved to Hong Kong after his admission as an advocate and solicitor in the High Court of Malays in October 1997. He was a partner at Richard Voon & Associates from 1st March 2009 until 30 December 2011 and specialized in conveyancing and property financing. He joined our Firm as a sole proprietor since 1st January 2012 and is actively involved in the practice of corporate and commercial law and conveyancing.

Mr. Lee was a lawyer with UK based Masons’ Hong Kong Office from April 1999 to May 2002 and with the US based international law firm Sidley Austin’s Hong Kong Office from May 2002 to August 2005.

Subsequently Mr. Lee joined the Corporate Finance Department of the Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong as a manager from August 2005 to August 2008.

Mr. Lee was involved in a variety of corporate and commercial transactions including preparing various commercial contracts, corporate acquisitions, due diligence as well as other compliance issues involving listed companies. Compliance work includes company secretarial, disclosure of directors’ and shareholders’ interests and preparing and clearing announcements and circulars on behalf of listed company clients. Mr. Lee has represented both issuers and underwriters in connection with Hong Kong Stock Exchange listings.

At the Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong Mr. Lee was involved in various policies and law-reform initiatives relating to Listing Rules of Hong Kong and other corporate finance rules and regulations. He also vetted prospectuses and related marketing materials in respect of the public offering of debt securities in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance and the Securities and Futures Ordinance of Hong Kong.

​Mr. Lee also has vast experience in banking litigation related to debt recovery, bankruptcy, winding–up and executing proceedings.

Mr Lee is also a Notary Public offering services of witnessing of signing of legal and related documents.
